Rig Life

I have been on this rig for about nine months now. The rig is Trinadad 103 and the well belongs to Chesapeake. I have it really good out here. All of the crews are pretty good, and the company men who I work for are pretty easy going. I get the pleasure of staying on location seven on seven off from time to time. I have taken a few pictures to show the equipment I work around. It is pretty impressive what is actually done out here, they dig a hole 12,000' down and 4,000' horizontally. This picture is of the beautiful lake we have out here which I have named Lake Chesapeake. This picture is of the trailer the third party hands live in, mine is the one in the waaaaaay back

 This picture on the left is of the mud pits on the rig. This is where I do most of my work. They hold about 800 barrels of mud ( 1 barrel = 42 gallons). Mud can be made out of a few things, this  mud is made out of diesel, water, and an assortment of chemicals.

 This is the derrick.
