So here's our Mason family blog that will be full of pictures and happenings in our neck of the woods. I say our, but I doubt Marcus will ever be the author unless I'm in labor. He did an excellent job sending updates via facebook and texts while I was in labor! Additionally, I'm not sure how much I can update if I can't update from my blackberry. Since Max's birth 5 months and 2 days ago, I can never quite complete what I turned on my computer to do in the first place. Right now, I'm trading precious minutes of sleep for this blog start.
So, it's a big week for me... that I've started on a Tuesday. I've found a house that I am determined to buy one day. After Marcus adamantly refused to buy it and go into great debt with me (and after I had a little pity party for myself), he consoled me with some math. I have to sell about 1,000 paintings to pay for it. That's if I could charge $300 a painting. So, more realistically, I have to do about 2,500 paintings at a lower price being that I'm rusty, unknown, and I'll practically have to give some away to get my name out there. But I'm just going to countdown from 1,000 because 2,500 is a scary number. Just like I decided to start counting how many pounds I gained during pregnancy from a less scary number... gaining just 40 lbs seemed so less daunting than 60 lbs.
Anyway, I'm starting my Etsy shop and have just uploaded a small portfolio to a facebook album. This week I hope to get my LLC underway so I can properly pay my taxes (oh joy). I've gotten a few orders today already from my facebook posting. So "994" paintings to go!

This is my Etsy shop banner and here are two of my photo paintings...
