Well the movers are here and today and tomorrow are our last days in Shreveport. A couple days ago, Marcus flew into Lafayette from Pittsburgh and Max and I drove to Alexandria, LA from Natchez to meet up and ride with Marcus the rest of the way to Shreveport to do the move. Sound complicated? We also drove a round trip to Dallas yesterday to pick up some furniture from my aunt. Fortunately we got a visit in with my cousin Margaret and had lunch with my friends Dorothy and Dayna while we were there for 2 hours. The distance of Pittsburgh is really hitting me so I'm trying to cram in every visit possible while I am getting quite sad to leave my friends and family back in the South.
Happier news, Max has started taking his first steps. They are quite funny. Very jerky very fast and almost impossible to snap a photo when he decides to stumble across the room. He took his first unassisted, unsolicited steps at the Carbys' house in Natchez between Lee and me. I almost cried!
Also happy news, we think we have a house in Pittsburgh! We made the offer on Valentine's Day and hope to close on our anniversary (April 12). The movers will be taking our things to storage until we can move in our new home.
