Willow Break

The ACL reconstruction on Marcus's knee went well! The doctor found that he had no ACL in place whatsoever so this new ACL should give him the stability and pain-free steps that he lacked before the surgery. His recovery has been incredible. He was laid up for a few days, but just less than a week later he was hobbling around our apartment, chasing Max, and I think he even took down the trash! Anyone who is considering whether or not to have ACL reconstruction, Marcus and I both agree that the procedure has been revolutionized and you should just do it ASAP! He's not 100% safe for work, so he will be off until after the new year. Max and I are going to love having him around!!!

We went over to my uncle Jim's hunting camp at Willow Break this past weekend for a little pre-Christmas gathering. It was cold and wet so we didn't have the annual skeet-shooting competition of the The Women v. The Boys. But, we did enjoy watching the dogs retrieve duck decoys out of the lake. Amazingly, the dogs didn't mind the temperature being in the 40's.

Max has two boy cousins that are 3.5 months and 6.5 months older, Taylor and Allen. Getting the three of them together is endless fun. Wish I had gotten more photos of them, but there are a few in this album from Willow Break:
